Kevin Katich is a session drummer, ethnic percussionist, drum teacher and a drum tech based out of Los Angeles, CA. He has been playing since 1997 and has been fortunate enough to study the art of percussion under legends such as Mark Craney (Jethro Tull, Dweezil Zappa, Jean Luc-Ponty, Tower of Power), John Molo (Bruce Hornsby, Phil Lesh, Moonalice), Tony Pia (Edgar Winter, Brian Setzer Orchestra, The Doobie Brothers), and Gregg Bissonette (David Lee Roth, Maynard Ferguson, James Taylor). In his career, Katich has appeared on stage with Gene Simmons, John Fogerty, Solomon Burke, Steven Stills, Reba Macintyre, Billy Steinberg, Stewart Copeland, and Gnarls Barkley. He has also written, recorded and performed with many Los Angeles based bands including Edge Of Paradise, Brutal Force, Thunder City Shout, Red Target, Tribe of Midnight, and Snatch. Katich also contributed to the recent recordings of Stephanie Meyers and Red Betty and has performed in the following stage musicals as a drummer and ethnic percussionist: The Rocky Horror Show, Cabaret, Children of Eden, Grease, Bye Bye Birdie, and L’Innocent. | ![]() |
![]() | Style Kevin is versed in many styles of drumming, ranging from jazz to extreme metal. He is noted for his polyrhythmic, dynamic and explosive approach. He is experienced in a multitude of instruments including but not limited to tabla, darbuka, djembe, congas, taiko, and tombek. He is also proficient in backing vocals, both in the studio and during live performances. Current Projects
