"It Begins"

This track explores elements of the Purdie shuffle, jazz, reggae, doom, rock, grooves in 7/8 and 9/8, and syncopated double bass grooves. This track also features bongo, djembe, and cymbal swell overdubs. Producer Rob Harkness was kind enough to film me on his iphone during the tracking of this particular song.

 "Apocalypse,"

This is track number 2 from my solo works recordings. This features the drumming styles of multiple subgenres of metal including but not limited to progressive, doom, tribal, death and black metal with my own twists and interpretations. Enjoy!

 "Mantra."

This is "Mantra," track 3 from my solo drum recordings. This is the most improvised piece from these sessions. The phrasing of this track is heavily influenced by West African drumming as well as the sticking patterns of Bill Bruford and Danny Carey. I also incorporated polymeters, marching snare and some bizarre syncopated drumset rhythms in the mid-section, one of which I wrote for a Thunder City Shout song called "1000 Candles."
